FURminator® deShedding™ Tool for Cats

Precision feline de-shedding tool removes loose and dead hair with ease. Features a stainless steel de-shedding blade to remove up to 90 percent of your cat's shed hair and safely thin her undercoat. 1. Ensure your cat has a clean coat that is completely dry. For best results, the manufacturer recommends using the FURminator Deshedding Tool immediately after washing and drying your cat.
2. Because the FURminator de-shedding processing will extract an abundance of hair, position your cat in an area that is easy to sweep or vacuum.
3. With the stainless steel teeth of the tool angled toward the coat of your cat, GENTLY pull the tool across the coat in the direction of the pet's hair growth. Use the tool like a hair brush and stroke across, up and away from your pet's skin. Use long, gentle strokes with the tool and avoid excessive strokes in the same area.
   a. NOTE: Be extra careful near your cat's sensitive stomach, legs, genitals, and other areas. DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH WEIGHT OR DOWNWARD PRESSURE as you comb through your pet's coat. Deep or rough brushing can cause your pet's skin to become red and irritated, and pet's with sensitive skin may suffer brush burns even with light combing. If you notice any redness or irritation on your pet's skin, immediately stop using the tool.

• Tangles or matting in their hair or coat. DO NOT USE the Deshedding Tool if tangles or mats are present. Instead, take your pet to a professional grooming salon for mat removal.
• Sores, cuts, bruises, abrasions, or skin conditions. DO NOT USE the Deshedding Tool if sores, cuts, bruises, abrasions, or skin conditions are present. Instead, take your pet to a veterinarian for treatment.

Storage Instructions
The FURminator Deshedding Tool has a fine toothed precision de-shedding edge and great care should be taken to protect the teeth. Replace the protective plastic cover when not in use.

THIS IS A MIRACLE BRUSH! I do not understand how it works but it's AMAZING! I was having the worst trouble with shedding. My cat would shed NONSTOP (and she is a short hair cat, but you would swear I had a long hair cat in my house)!! I tried EVERYTHING from pills, baths, supplements, bushing everyday, EVERYTHING I could find, nothing would work. A lady I knew had this brush (dog version) for her Golden Retriever and she swore on it that it worked. I was not sure about buying it, because of the price (and everything else I bought just ended up in the trash can every time), but I was DESPERATE! So when I got it and I tried it. OH MY GOSH...after just the first session (which did last an hour, because she had TONS of hair coming off) I could not believe it. Her coat looked SOOO good. Nice and shiny, smooth, and SOOO soft; and it only got better with each session afterwards! I can FINALLY pet my cat and not get covered from head to toe and choke on cat hair. I am sooo happy and relieve I FINALLY found something that worked like it said it would. Before I would pet my cat for less than a min. and get hands full of hair out, but now there might be one or two hairs that come off but that is it. My furniture isn't covered in cat hair in less than two days anymore and I can finally enjoy having a cat and petting her with out worrying about the hair. I would HIGHLY recommend this brush to ANY ONE for cat or dog it is worth every penny and more! I actually got on the phone to my friends that have animals and told them and now almost all of them have one and loving them as well.

My daughter gifted me with one of these for our house cats. I have a senior cat as well as young cats and they all enjoy this comb. It makes a difference in the amount of fur vacuumed. Their coats are smoother and they are not coughing fur balls. I like it also because I don't have to apply pressure, it is enough to set it on their fur and comb through. It seems to go through without the painful tugging like a regular comb, so they are comfortable with it.

I have really got to say that I'm sold on this one. They don't lie on the package when they show the cat laying in a sea of fur, it really does work like that. On my long haired cat, I've found that short strokes where I pull up at an angle away from the cat towards the end of the stroke really does the trick. In 15 minutes, I brushed enough fur that when I vacuumed I completely filled up my Dyson vacuum cleaner. Amazing. A little expensive but worth every penny. Don't settle for a cheap deshedding tool.

Wow! I bought a Furminator because my short-haired cat was producing a couple of hairballs every week, even WITH brushing and special cat food, etc. With the very first combing, we got fists full of hair! We've got our paws and fingers crossed that hairballs will be a thing of the past very soon!

This has been my best investment. I have three Maine Coon mixes and it's an understatement to say that before this product, we had tumbleweeds of cat fur - even with brushing. This has cut back on the shedding and hair balls dramatically. I am not able to use this on my older arthritic cat - but it's wonderful for the younger two. No more matting and I just use one other tool - either a comb or brush to make sure all the excess fur comes off after the furminator.
