Aviator Harness and Leash Set Color: Black Size: XLarge
I used to free-fly my parrot, but the presence of predator birds combined with her SUPER social nature made me, reluctantly, give that up. The harness--especially with it's improvements--make the outdoor experience a reality again. It's not free-flight, but I can definitely see it in her personality again. Thank you.

My Lovey-Dove has been an indoor bird for the past 6 years since being rescued as an escaped pet. I have often thought about being able to bring him outside safely but was unsure how to go about it. Another pigeon rescuer told me about Aviator and I knew it was the answer. The video instructions that come with the harness are superb, and following the advice given ensures success. The hardest part is getting my bird out of the harness when we come back inside as my fingers just aren't used to small buckles!

LOVE this harness
My bird (blue crown conure) loves this harness. He sees it and gets in the spot where i put it on him, bows his head for me to slip the harness over, and completely looks forward to his time outside with me. It has enabled him to have a life that my sun conure (who was not harness trained) never had. He flies on the beach. He goes to town for something to eat with me. He is far less "spooked" by new sights and sounds because of being so well exposed to the outside world.
I would guess that not every bird will take to this, and training takes a little time on some birds. I started when my bird was only about 8 months old, and followed the instructions from the DVD. He is a bird who chews on his hoodie if i put it on him and HATES wearing a flightsuit. He doesn't fuss at all with this harness. I think he relates it to his freedom and adventure!

Aviator Harness and Leash Set
I had put the Harness set on my Caique to take her outside. She had fought a little while I was putting it on, but she seemed to forget about it once she was outside. When I had put it on her the second time, my son had kept her distracted and it was much easier and of course she was able to go outside once again. The third and last time she wore it was in the car for a long ride to Vegas from LA and she seemed to loved to ride out of her cage and on my shoulder. it was over a five hour drive on a holiday weekend. She did very well. I haven't taken her out lately because it's been cold. I'll take her out this coming spring and summer.
Though I would suggest rapping up the cord before putting on the harness just encase the bird does decide to fight a bit, so you wont have the bird tangled up.
