Cooling Bandana Small
I was amazed the color stayed on.
We have a Newfoundland that is ill and since she is outside with our alpaca I was looking for something to ease the heat. I saw the bandana and that It might be worth a try. The price was good and if it worked it would be great. Well, we put the bandana on our dog and it worked really well. Because of its shape and the way it hugs their chest it didn't get pulled off by the dogs. Next summer I will order another one for the other Newfoundland.

I can tell already I love it!
I live in south Florida, our summers are long and intense. My five year old mixed breed dog has long fur and is so lethargic in the summer because of the heat. I've thought about shaving her, but wanted to see if I could find a less permanent method to relieve her. I found this and thought it was kind of a gimmick, why pay for something when you could just wrap a wet rag around your dog's neck? But the price is right, so I figured I'd give it a go! I tried it on my dog before I wet it to make sure it fit (large, and my dog is 70 pounds). It did, but she didn't like it, she was trying to take it off! But then I soaked it.. Then I showed it to her, she licked it... Then I put it on, and she accepted it instantly! We were outside for about 15 minutes, in which she is usually panting.. But she didn't pant, so that's my indication that it's working. And the bonus is that it doesn't look goofy like I thought it might, she actually kinda looks cool :) I will use this daily I'm sure, for our outings and constantly when we do our yearly 3 day camping trip in Florida in July (I know we're out of our minds). I hope she will be as energetic as she is in the winter with it and that we won't have to shave her. It was worth the money for sure. And as always with F&S, shipping was quick, everything went smoothly.

This is a good product.
I have started using this product when I take my dogs on their walks in the warm weather. I have noticed that when we return from our walks it takes them less time to return to normal after having worn the bandanas on the walk. In the past, it would take them an hour or so to cool back down after walking. Now it takes maybe 15 min.

I have been using the Cooling Bandana on my black & white tuxedo 7 year old Cockapoo for only a week in the worst month of Arizona heat-July-with good results in the sense that it is cooling him down enough to complete the four mile walk. Today, however, the bandana was so fat with water (I let it completely dry before soaking for the next excursion) that it wouldn't attach to his neck. I carried it for the first two miles until water evaporated in order to fit around his neck. Also, once I got back home, I placed it on the paper towel and squeezed it to see how much water was left, the polymer crystal oozed out the end where the velcro attachment is located. I called the company and they were forthright in sending a new one; however, she mentioned that this hadn't been a problem. If anyone else has had this happen, please respond in order to show that I am not making it up. ; - ) Thank you. I am hoping that it was a defect in build and I continue using the product, but if it keeps leaking I will graduate my dog to a cooling vest instead.
