Caring for Your Heated Blanket REMOVE HEATER TO MACHINE WASH BLANKET. Simply unzip blanket and remove the heater. Place heater aside and do not use except when in bed. Use gentle cycle on machine and cool water to wash blanket. Line dry or tumble dry low heat, gentle cycle.
Heating unit is for use inside this blanket only. Do not use alone. Make sure the cord is exiting from the back of blanket, out of the normal path of pet. Do not use pins or other metallic means to secure this blanket in place. If cord shows signs of chewing from pet, remove and discard. Also discard heating unit if it shows any sign of deterioration (such as checking, blistering, or cracking). This is not a human heating blanket. Household use only. Do not use this heated throw outdoors.

My Coontail wanted nothing to do with this blanket until I realized it smelled like the plastic bag it had been shipped in. So I spread in on my chair and sat on it for a couple of days, and now he loves it.
My two cats asked me to write and tell you that EVERY cat needs one of these! It took them all of five minutes to find it and plop themselves down on it... and I'm not sure they are going to move until spring!
