Our 16 year old indoor cat is skiddish when it comes to new things so we were afraid he wouldn't like a heated pad. However, since we prefer to keep our home very cool during winter, which makes his joints a bit stiff, we bought it anyway. He loves it and so do we!
Since it doesn't warm up until pressure is applied to it, we introduced him to it by putting it on our laps and calling him up to lay down. He got used to it in a day and not only sleeps on it, but he seems much more limber when he wakes up!
We have 11 cats, four stay outdoors all the time. Our outdoor cats absolutely love their heating pads. Fantastic! My elderly cat rarely leaves her Lectro Soft Pad! Pad is only slightly warm if cat is not lying on it, however if cat lays on it, it continues to heat to a comfortable temp for the cat. I am so pleased I bought this product for her!
