We have two cats that we found loved to scratch on our cardboard moving boxes after we moved to a new home. They ignored their sisal scratcher and just ripped up the tops of all our packing boxes. This scratcher is their FAVORITE toy. I throw catnip on it, and it nestles between the little corrigated cardboard bits. We set it next to our sliding glass window and they are almost always lounging on it. They never use any other scratcher but this one -- and with two cats it has lasted almost a year now! The scratcher is HEAVY and full of cardboard sheets so I have to wonder how long it will take for them to rip through the whole thing. VERY worth it.
