FX5 Canister Filter Filter Foam Block 3 pk
Best filter ever
We have a 125 gallon with our FX5, it is the best trouble free filter easy to maintain. Can say enough about it. We also have a 90 with two large canister filters from a competitor which we plan on replacing with an FX6 as the old ones don't even come close to to the performance of the FX series. The only con would be the FX5 doesn't come with media but you also can set it up the way you want it which ends up being a plus

Im using this on a 90 gallon FOWLR with 10 fish shrimp snails and mushroom coral This is my second cleaning. Water crystal clear It has been up and running since March 2013.I use foster and smith pads, chemi pure, and eheim substrate. The self priming feature is great. I had enough hose left so I didn't even have to buy a new one to siphon. I have not changed the pads. I rinsed them in tank water and hosed the canister down. This thing does not lose flow despite being packed with gunk. My fish enjoy the flow. I would highly recommend this.

my opinion unit is best suited for fowlr tank....
first installed in reef system, filter was fighting system over producing proteins... after switching out / swapping wet dry system. the fx5 out preformed wet dry on fish only... in heavy stocked with snappers and eels which are extremely dirty. water quality has been clear and clean.

Outstanding PLUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No other filter can touch this one ! I've had it for four years and it does an outstanding job! I have a 150 gal tank full of "frying size" cichlids and I only clean it every 6 months. Not because the water is any less clear, but because I am embarassed about all the algae growing on the tank top. Takes an hour or so to clean every six months; BUT no way you can go wrong with this filter.
