With a farm smack dab in the middle of "cherry country", we had heard for years about how the wonderful properties of tart cherries help to maintain healthy hips and joints. In the summer of 2003, some friends recommended we try tart cherry concentrate, and they were right! We were kicken' and rarin' to go!

We wondered - why does tart cherry concentrate carry such a powerful punch? While asking a few folks at our leading university, we discovered that researchers have been asking the same questions - and even patented their discoveries. Overby Farm licensed these patents and got to work!

Our challenge was to figure out a great way to pass on the healthy benefits of tart cherries to our four-legged buddies. That's when the fun began! We started chopping, mixing and baking in our own farm kitchen in Leelanau County (with our labs Lucy and Abbey as our taste testers) and that's when Hip Bones were born!

My 11 year old Old English Sheepdog has begun to show the signs of weary joints. About a year ago, I had begun to watch him take a little longer to move from a lying down to a standing position. I had purchased a supplement containing glucosamine and chrondriten (sp?) and was not really certain it was helping but continued to give to him thinking it could not hurt. Then, my friend told me about Hip Bones! Windsor LOVES the taste and eats them like a treat. Additionally, I have purchased the vet Berrier J & H formula and that sluggish movement is not as prevelant as it used to be. I also believe he is better able to keep up with his friend chasing her around the yard faster than previously. With the age difference of 8 years, that's quite a feat! I am a convinced customer!

I can't say enough good things about this product. My 12 year old Brittany Spaniel began limping constantly so I bought a bag of these because I heard it might help. Within two days he quit limping and hasn't limped since! He has more energy too plus he LOVES the taste!
