Injectable antibiotic for bacterial infections caused by penicillin-sensitive organisms, which includes some gram-positive (including strangles caused by Streptococcus equi) and some gram-negative organism. Given intramuscularly. Contains 300,000 units of Procaine Penicillin G per ml. Available in a 100 ml bottle. Keep refrigerated.
Equine dosage: 1-ml/100 lbs. of body weight once daily.
Syringes with needles to administer this medication are also available (sold separately).
