For vaccination of healthy horses as an aid in control of five core infectious diseases. Protects against both Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis. Protects against the A2 strain of Equine Influenza and both EHV-1 and EHV-4 strains of Rhinopneumonitis. Also gives protection against Tetanus. Killed vaccine is of tissue culture origin and is mixed with proprietary adjuvant Havlogen to increase the efficacy of the protection. Thimerosal is added as a preservative. Pre-loaded single-dose syringe includes needle. *Administer intramuscularly (IM) only. If using as a primary immunization, purchase two to use one as a booster. Foals nursing immune dams should be vaccinated when maternal antibody levels will allow active immunization.

Suggested use: Shake well before using. Use entire contents once opened. For primary immunization, aseptically inject horses with 1 ml intramuscularly and repeat the dose in 3 to 4 weeks. Administer annually thereafter. A booster dose can be administered at more frequent intervals base upon individual horse or farm disease risk assessment or any time epidemic conditions are reported. Consult your veterinarian.
Storage: Store at 35° to 45°F. Avoid freezing. Keep away from children and pets.

In accordance with federal packaging regulation 9CFR Part 112, vaccines may only be shipped in the manufacturer's original, unopened container. This regulation helps ensure vaccine quality and consistency in labeling. However, because of this regulation, we cannot accept open packages of vaccines for return or replacement once the seal or package has been broken.
Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis (EEE), Western Equine Encephalomyelitis (WEE), and Venezuelan Equine Encephalomyelitis (VEE) are mosquito-borne viral diseases that affect the horse's nervous system. They can also be transmitted to humans by an infected mosquito. This disease may also be known as sleeping sickness. Please see article on EEE, WEE, VEE for more information on this disease.
Equine Influenza is caused by a type A virus, which is related to (but not the same as) the organism that causes the flu virus in humans. This is a virus of the respiratory system that can be spread easily from horse to horse as a result of droplets released into the air when the infected horse coughs. It can also be spread via nasal discharge and from infected items such as brushes and combs. This disease is highly contagious. Equine Rhinopneumonitis is caused by the equine herpesviruses EHV-1 and EHV-4. EHV-1 is the most virulent and can cause respiratory symptoms, abortion, foal death, and paralysis. EHV-4 causes respiratory symptoms similar to the common cold in humans and mostly affects young horses. Please see article on Equine Rhinopneumonitis for more information on this disease.
Tetanus, also known as lockjaw, is an infection caused by the gram-positive bacterium Clostridium tetani. C. tetani can enter the body via puncture wounds. Tetanus is characterized by respiratory paralysis, spasms, and rigidity of voluntary muscles. Please see article on Tetanus for more information.
How should I store my vaccines once I receive them?

You should always store the vaccines that you buy in the refrigerator. For best results, do not take them out of the refrigerator until you are ready to administer them.
I'm having my vaccines shipped by 1-day air. What other steps can I take to make sure that they stay cold but do not freeze?
A.
If you are not going to be at the delivery point, in the summer leave a cooler with ice packs outside the door with instructions for the delivery person to place the vaccines in the cooler. In the winter, a cooler may also be used to insulate the vaccine and prevent it from freezing. When you place your order, let the operator know you are doing this so we can also place instructions for the delivery person.
