Talk 'N Play includes a battery when shipped. To activate toy, simply remove the safety tab that prevents the toy from sounding off during shipping to save battery life. Replace AAA battery when exhausted.
Please supervise your bird when using this toy. Inspect often for damage and remove from play if you notice any broken pieces or sharp edges.
Wipe clean with a smooth, damp cloth when needed. Non-toxic bird toy cleaner may also be used.

I bought the Talk 'N Play toy at your retail store for my parakeet, Sapphire. At night, before he goes to sleep - he likes to have his face cheeks rubbed, and he will preen my fingers. I will rub his cheeks, he will turn his head to where he wants me to rub , and then he will scoot across his braided perch to the toy, and out of all the buttons he will press the "I love you" button every time. He will come back for more loving, and then scoot back across and push the "I love you" button again. I'm not prejudiced, but he is one smart bird. I am going to buy two more toys for my other parakeets.
I ordered the "Talk N' Play" for my Pied Cockatiel, Mozart. The mirror inticed him over and he pecked at the buttons. You could almost see his eyes get wider at the voice that talked back! He loved it!
I am retired and spend my time in two different places, and so does my cockatiel, Sydney. He is 15 years old and still plays with all of his toys. He has a big cage for my bigger house and a small cage that he travels in and lives in in my smaller house. I bought this Talk 'N Play for his bigger cage and he loved it so much I bought another one for his small cage. I would highly recommend this toy for anyone who has a bird.
I bought this for my Cockatiel, who is afraid of everything. But he instantly ran over to it and started pressing the buttons. He liked the way the buttons lit up when he pressed them. But our African Grey was so smitten with the toy, that she took it over. I need to get another to keep them both happy. The African Grey loves hanging from it and 'attack' the buttons. She never gets sick of it. And for as destructive as she is, it's still working after about 3 months. Definitely a great toy for any small or medium sized bird.
My Sun Conure loves this toy. In the morning when I leave for work. I tell him bye, I love you! He flies over to the Talk 'N Play and pushes the I love you button. It's so sweet. And when I'm out of the room, he keeps pushing the I love you button to get my attention.
I purchased this for my Cockateil. At first he stayed away from it but now,he hits the buttons over and over again. Then looks to see if I am watching. It is such a delight to see this interaction.
I purchased the Talk 'N Play for my Parakeet and she just loves it. She has now learned to respond to my talking to her by pressing the buttons and letting the toy answer me back.
I bought this for my Lovebird. He loves the toy. He presses the buttons and is reinforced when I answer back. So he loves getting me to talk to him by having the toy talk first. I moved him to a second cage recently with new toys, he wasn't happy that cage did not have the Talk n Play toy. After I moved the toy, he hasn't quit pushing the buttons, that's how I know he really likes that toy.
My sweet girl Pearl, a Cockatiel, is usally shy about new toys in her cage, but she went to the Talk 'N Play immediately and is really enjoying it. What fun!
