Shore-mounted illuminator box transmits light through flexible, fiber optic cables to enhance pond safety AND custom outdoor lighting. Superior solid-core fiber optic cables direct alternating colored light even to hard-to-reach areas under decks and patios, through rockwork, or even underwater. Brilliant fiber optic system boasts clean, pinpoint light with minimum light scatter for crisp light effects at night.

Installation and Maintenance Instructions
For R-150/WP Light Engine (Illuminator Box)
Note: Before using the Light Engine, please open the top case and take out color wheel protector.
Safety Instructions:
- Make sure the Light Engine and power source has the same voltage.
- Make sure the ground connection is securely connected.
- To change the lamp, shut down and allow the Light Engine to cool for at least 15 minutes.
- Allow a minimum spacing of 4" around the Light Engine for proper fan ventilation.
- Avoid use in high temperatures. Use when temperatures are below 104ºF.
Installation:
Use only specified high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp on all R-series Light Engines. All lamps are discharged before delivery and the Color Wheel is shipped with protective foam. Please remove the protective foam and install the lamp before using the Light Engine.
To remove protective foam:
- Unscrew the waterproof Lock Cover. Unlock the Lock with the key and then open the Top Cover.
- Carefully remove the protective foam and avoid bending or deforming the Color Wheel.
- Close the Top Cover and lock with key. Tighten the waterproof Lock Cover.
To install the lamp before use:
- Unscrew the Protection Plate of the Lamp Fixing Board at the back of the Light Engine. Then unscrew the Lamp Fixing Board. Pull gently until the Lamp Socket is fully out of the Light Engine.
- Push the lamp into the Lamp Socket. Make sure not to touch the glass portion of the lamp.
- Push the Lamp Fixing Board back into the Light Engine. Re-install screws to secure the Lamp Fixing Board.
- Re-install the Protection Plate for the Lamp Fixing Board and tighten screws.
To change a lamp:
- Always turn off power first. Allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Unscrew the Protection Plate of the Lamp Fixing Board at the back of the Light Engine. Then unscrew the Lamp Fixing Board. Pull gently until the Lamp Socket is fully out of the Light Engine.
- Carefully remove the old bulb and replace it with a new lamp. Make sure not to touch the glass portion of the lamp.
- Push the Lamp Fixing Board back into the Light Engine. Re-install screws to secure the Lamp Fixing Board.
- Re-install the Protection Plate for the Lamp Fixing Board and tighten screws.
Installing the Fiber Optic Cable:
- If the end of the fiber optic cable is uneven, carefully trim and polish until smooth. Do not use any chemical solvent to clean the fiber.
- Insert the entire Optic Fiber Connector to the Illuminator Box and secure it with the Fixing Screw. NOTE: Keep fiber optic surface vertical to the light axis. The optic fiber surface must be clean or it will increase light loss or may even burn the optic fiber.
