Pump Pro-Tectors 8" (for pumps up to 6" in diameter)
Love the pond supplies
I look through the different options they have for all ponds, Such variety can be overwhelming, but anything I buy works for what I wanted it for. They have great descriptions of all the products.

So far so good
Haven't been using the pump protectors very long yet, but so far they are working as expected. I have 2 clay lined ponds and they are keeping leaves, mud etc... from the pumps. Much better than the buckets I had rigged up myself with lava rock.
The only drawback I see is the drawstring fastener - it's made of plastic and I hate to sound negative but I don't see them holding up very long - other than that, the pump protectors are working out well...

Great product, almost.
For my needs (Tetra 1900) it is a snug fit. However, the filter works great. Would recommend a top-cap filter medium to be included. This would help 'seal' the pump in filter. The mesh outside does not feel as though it will hold up more than 18 months or so, but we will see. In spite of what seems like a lot of negativity on my part the darn thing works great! Even if it only holds up a year it is worth the price of admission.

Works with my pumps in a large pond.
The filter system works with both my bottom sump and side intake pumps in a 7500 gallon koi pond. The net is not as loose as shown in the photo; in fact it closes to a 4 inch opening. I purchased additional square filter pads (black course) and cut them to size to make a "lid' for the filter systems since the net does not fully enclose and small fish and large debris can get caught in the system. Easy to hose off and maintain.
