Seed Saucer 16-3/4" dia x 3-1/4" high
Works just as I had hoped.
The Seed Saucer works exactly as I had hoped, it catches all of the seed spillage from my thistle feeder allowing me to keep it in the tree over my lawn. The seed spillage was so excess, I was going to have to move the feeder to an area not as visible from my windows so as not to ruin the lawn, with the Seed Saucer, the problem is solved. Highly recommended for thistle feeders.

I ordered two of these saucers to catch the birdseed that was ending up on the ground due to bird feeding frenzies. There were about a dozen squirrels getting fat from all the seed landing on the ground. After hanging up the saucers, I was shocked at how much birdseed they were catching. Now the squirrels are going hungry, and I can recycle the birdseed back into the feeders. I had to improvise on how to attach the saucers to my weight-sensitive feeders, but once I did, they've worked out fine.

I should've bought this product years ago! We've battled unwanted mice and rats for years, and within two weeks after installing these trays, (for my four feeders,) WA-LA!!! Mickey and Ratatouille were GONE!
I have two black oiled sunflower seed feeders and two mixed-seed feeders. Unfortunately, they did not have the bar across the bottom, (underneath side,) to accomodate the hook on the chain that holds the seed-catcher trays, so I just took some pliable wire, pulled it through two of the small drainage holes on each side of my birdseed feeder trays wth pliars, tied knots on the top of my birdseede feeder trays so the wire wouldn't slip back through, and made my own "wire" bar on the underneath side of my feeder trays. Now, there's NO mess at the end of the day. The sunflower seed shells all end-up in the tray, and it's so easy to just dump them out into the INSIDE trash can each night, before I store them until the next day. (DON'T dump them in any trash or lawn and leaf bags outside...trust me...the critters will find, scratch through...chew through...whatever it takes... and get to them, making a big mess in the process.)
The mixed seed is a bit different, since some birds prefer some seeds over others, and the squirrels eat only the sunflower seeds in it. Each night, before I put the seed-catcher trays away, I dump the left-over seed in the bottom of the seed catcher trays back into the mixed birdseed bag. No waste here!
GREAT INVENTION! Anyone who feeds the birds, (and others... like squirrels, rabbits, ducks, chipmunks, etc...) should definitely get these. No more seeds sprouting on the ground under my feeders , no messy seeds and shells messing-up my mulch, no empty sunflower seed shells to rake up either! And if you love the doves, (ground feeders,) like I do, don't worry...they'll hang on the side of the seed-catcher tray and successfully pick and peck the seeds in the bottom of the seed-catcher trays right out through the holes. Everyone wins with these trays! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! :-)

Keeps the squirrels hungry
Keeps the seed off the ground. I did add mesh under the holes to keep the birds from getting their heads stuck. Very easy to assemble. Works great!!!
