Carpenter Ladder Medium
Birds Love It!
We're putting together a new, bigger cage for our Lovebirds and are adding more fun accessories. I loved the bright colors on this ladder. It was much bigger than I thought it was but we had bought a much bigger cage than they had so it fits right in. It's like a big perching area and they love it too. Plus, it looks very festive!

Very strong and good!
I purchased this for our new Peach-faced Lovebirds. They are getting used to their new surroundings. Some birds take awhile with ladders. They say "Medium" is good for Lovebirds. My kind they say are larger lovebirds. At first looking at it, it look too large but now I feel soon they will use it. I'll try putting a treat on one of the steps and with their knowledge, maybe they'll learn quickly how to use it. It's a strong ladder. I'm waiting to see them use it.

I placed one in my Parrotlet's cage and one in my Blue-Crowned Conure's cage. They both like to chew on older ladders because they love the wood, however they don't bother the colored hooked ladders. I really like the fact that they come in different sizes. They do the job!

Pros and Cons
Purchased the Small size.
It's kind of ugly. Colors aren't the most attractive, rungs are spaced pretty far apart, it's a bit big and bulky. I know it says that the length is 12", but somehow, it seems much shorter.. Might have to do with the rung size, count, and spacing. It's probably great for birds, but I wanted something more compact for my rats..
Pros: I DO like the way the hooks are screwed onto the top. You turn the hooks parallel to the bars to get them through the bars, then turn them again so that they're perpendicular, allowing them to hook on the bars.
Cons: Not very secure. The hooks are pretty big, causing the ladder to wobble and move like crazy. Honestly, I don't know of ANY cages that have bars that thick. I dont know why the hooks have to be so big.
