| Installing your Whisper Air Pump
Note: Use a check-valve between the pump and the aquarium if the Whisper Air Pump is placed on a surface lower than the water level of the aquarium. The check valve helps stop water from siphoning into your air pump in the event of an electrical power failure or when removing filters from aquariums. To avoid damage for accidentally spilled water, do not place the pump directly below the aquarium. Above-Tank Installation

I have the 60 and 40. I love them both very much. My Renas after about a year stopped pumping air. They just quit. These pumps are still just as quiet as the first day I plugged them in. The 60 is in my 55 gallon tank and my 40 is in my 30 gallon breeder. I will purchase one for my 10 gallon now. |

I bought a Whisper Air pump a couple of weeks ago, and I have to write this to say how great it is so far! I haven't had it long, so I really can't testify to its longevity, but it is incredibly powerful and totally silent. My bed is about 7 feet from my 20 gallon tank , and I can't hear this pump at all! I've had two Rena air pumps before (the 200 and 100), and this one is far and away more powerful. Not only that, but my Rena 200 started getting really loud after about 8 months. I've had to clamp it to reduce the vibration ever since. At any rate, I highly, highly recommend this pump to anyone who wants a silent, powerful pump! |

I purchased the Model 60 several weeks ago, this pump really moves some air. It's one of the quietest pumps out there. Great price too, I checked my local fish store and Foster/Smith is about 30% less. |

Wow, these Whisper 40 air pumps are so quiet, they're about to replace all of my Rena Air pumps! Try a Whisper 40 or smaller, they're so quiet, you'll wonder if they're even on! |

I just got the Whisper 40. I wish I would have bought more. It is as quiet as the Rena 400 that I own. |

A true value and you get more than you pay for! I purchased a Whisper 60 and it's by far the quietest pump out of the 3 I have had. It worked great for about 5 months and I noticed that one of the two outlet was not pumping out as much air. The noise was noticably louder. I was hesitant to take it apart as it was less than a year old. Turns out one of the rubber diaphragms inside was torn and air was not pumping. The motor was still running. For the price I just picked up another one and it's working great! |

The 20 is the best little air pump I've ever owned! It must be going on about five years of continuous use, still as quiet as ever, and still going strong! I've noticed the difference in other cheaper quality pumps I owned in the past; noisy, clunky old things. Having a tank in my bedroom would definitely not be an enjoyable thing had I not purchased this air pump! |

I have the 40 pump for my 55 gallon and am about to get another one for a 37 gallon I'm setting up. They are so quiet--and by quiet I mean SILENT--and the design is sleek and I love the rubber cushioned feet that prevent them from moving. My mom got one for her 55 gallon too, replacing an old noisebox she was using that hardly put out any air. |

This is a great little Air Pump. If you have it on a flat surface, it makes almost no noise. They seem to have a pretty long life span, as well. I've had mine for a couple years now (2 and 1/2, I think) and it's still running like it did the day I bought it. Also, I don't think you really need to worry about the size your aquarium is as much as you need to worry about how many elements you're powering with the pump and how big those elements are. I only have a few airstones in my 29G aquarium, and I'm doing just fine with the Whisper 10. Of course, if you're running a powerhead, you might want to go with the size they suggest. |
