I am very pleased with this product. My protein skimmer on this tank is built into the refugium and does not skim the surface. I hooked this surface skimmer up to my Magnum H.O.T. and, as others have reported, within minutes there was no sign of any surface film or debris on the water. Excellent!

I recently purchased this surface skimmer in hopes that it would clean the surface of my 55 gallon reef tank. I hooked it up to my Fluval 404, and within minutes to my astonishment the surface was "crystal clear!" I still cannot believe how easy it was to set up and how quickly it worked. Now I know my corals and anemones are getting the best light possible. I would definitely recommend this product!

I just received my Surface Skimmer today and with almost no trouble at all I had it hooked up to my Eco canister pump working great. If it keeps working like this I won't be looking at the nasty surface film on my tank water any more. There was a little adjustment to get it pulling water and not producing bubbles from sucking air, but with that done it's working just fine. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who doesn't have an overflow.

I always had an oily film on the surface of my water. I attached the surface skimmer to the water pump that feeds my protein skimmer. I instantly saw the film start to pour down the floating intake. Within one hour the surface of my water was clear! Because the intake floats, I also do not have to worry about my pump running dry.
