Most dogs will readily accept Doggles after a short adjustment period. Training your dog to wear the goggles can be accomplished in a small amount of time if you follow these easy steps: 1) Don't put the goggles on your dog while indoors. Imagine yourself wearing dark tinted glasses inside. You cannot see, and neither can your dog. 2) When you first put the goggles on your dog, don't let him paw at the glasses or roll to get them off. Reassure him that it's okay. Take him immediately to bright sunlight and let him realize that he can see with them on. Walk around, get his mind off the goggles. 3) Try to go through this routine as often as possible. The number of training sessions required depends on your dog.

I purchased the doggles for our 2 year old Golden Retriever who loves to go for rides in our New VW Beetle convertible. They must be comfortable as she has no problem keeping them on regardless of whether she is sitting in the car or sleeping in the back seat. I have to admit, while functional and providing protection to her eyes, they also gain a lot of attention as we go driving by with her posing like a beauty queen in the back seat of the car, head up and red Doggles glistening. Great product!
Our 4 pound chihuahua loves to go for rides on the motorcycle, but the wind would bother her eyes and we didnt think it was very safe for her. After purchasing doggles for her she is much better on the cycle. She knows when we get her goggles out she gets to go. She loves to put them on and has no problem keeping them on. They go on easy and STAY on. Best thing I ever got her! LOVE THEM!
I have an older whippet that likes to ride in my convertible. The sun and wind used to bother his eyes until I purchased a pair of Doggles. Now he knows that if he wants to go for a ride in the car he has to wear them. I would recommend these for any dog that is prone to hanging it's head out the car window, rides in the back of trucks, or is otherwise exposed to wind or sun.
I purchased a pair of Doggles for my 130lb Lab/Chow mix, Samson. He loves to wear them because he knows he's going for a ride. They are a great fit and are easy to get on his head. He has to hang his head out of the window and these protect his eyes from debris and bugs. He waits until he's out of the car before he takes them off. I highly recommend these goggles.
I have two Miniature Pinschers that ride on the motorcycles with us. Before we started to use the Doggles, they would squint in the sun and at the end of a ride have very teary eyes. It took two very short "training sessions" to get them accustomed to wearing them. We now go for rides and have people asking us from around the country about the Doggles. I even have a picture with the dogs squinting sitting on the bike and an after shot with the Doggles on and eyes wide open. They will wear them for hours as we often do 400 mile days with the dogs aboard. I would recommend them to anyone!
I purchased a pair of black Doggles for my dog Woodrow, who loves to stick his head out of the window when I'm driving. He weighs 21 lbs. so I ordered a size Small. They fit perfectly and he looks VERY cool in them! Too bad there's not a place to post photos!
I purchased a pair of red doggles for my female black lab; she loves to wear them and they look great on her (they match her collar). She loves to ride on my 4 wheeler and when we pass other recreationalists boy do we get the looks! Now she is my "doggle dog".
My daughter's 2-year old Akita has become totally blind recently due to a heriditary auto-immune disease. Although he loved to go on long walks in the woods, we worried about his eyes getting scratched by sticks and other objects since he now lacks the protective blink reflex. These Doggles are just the thing! He can now not only be allowed to walk without fear of eye injury, but it is also a reminder to others of his disability. They look pretty cool too!
Our 5 yr old Akita likes to "window surf" in the car. Problem is he had cataracts at 8 mo. and the surgery to fix them so we don't want any further damage. I'd been looking for something he would wear and these are great. OK, the flames are for us to look at but he can't scratch these off his head. He did get the goggles off but they slid down his neck and didn't fall all the way off to where they'd get lost. He's not thrilled but after one wearing he quit trying to take them off and gave in to the fact that he had to wear them. One caution, due to the elastic bands if your dog measures close to the upper measurements go lower. I bought large due to measurements and wish I'd gotten medium as I've made them as small as they will go around the head. I opened the box at the post office here and I think I sold 4 more pair to others who checked them out for fit and lens clarity.
Good dog clothes can help your dog better adapt to seasonal changes and enjoy more time outdoors, while costumes and sportswear can add fun to holidays and events.
