Safflower Seed 5 lbs (approx. 4 qts)
Safflower eliminates Squirrel Raids
My sister-in-law's advice to use safflower was spot on! Squirrels immediately lost interest in the bird feeders. Ordered the large quantity expecting a single large bag but product was delivered as multiple 5# bags which was fine. As 1 of the bags had split on the seam the seeds spilled out of the shipping box all over the back of the UPS truck.

Cardinals are often the first birds at feeders in the morning, and the last species to visit around dusk. That's when I put out the Safflower seed to cater to only a few cardinals that visit our yard. The quality of the seed is good, and I'm happy with the product.

My Green Cheek Conure likes safflower seeds.I noticed he was always picking them from the mix. And I was very glad that I found them on the Drs Foster and Smith website. Now my bird can have them as much as he wants.

Great results with safflower seed.
Almost always had a squirrel convention here where birds could not get to the feeders as the many many squirrels were there first . After using safflower seed this has been largely eliminated. Occ squirrel only. I still use sunflower seed in one feeder and of course the squirrels are there first but my other feeders are almost always exclusive safflower seed worth the expense.
