Not a single squirrel have I seen on this feeder, only the squirrels eating the thrown out seeds from the birds above which are on our deck.

Best bird feeder out there!
I've tried a number of different feeders in an effort to attract song birds without feeding the squirrels. Most recently, we bought an expensive Droll Yankee feeder, which we returned because the squirrels figured it out in an hour. This feeder is the only one I've found that actually deters squirrels. They may try to get seed from it once or twice, but they soon learn that their effort will be to no avail. It's also much better looking than other feeders and the birds love it!

Keeps away the squirrels!
We love to have birds coming to our deck so that our cats can watch and be entertained. Our problem though was the SQUIRRELS. They would come and devour all the sunflower seed in a matter of a day. So for Christmas I received this feeder and I am very impressed. I saw several squirrels TRYING to get seed, with no luck. I probably saw 5 or 6 pass thoguh. Now, it is a week later, and there is still plenty of seeds for the birds! This feeder works great.

This is a terrible product.
This is a terrible product. First of all, there is a metal rod connecting the top to the bottom, running through the center of the feeder. The top and bottom unscrew in the same direction. So, when you try to unscrew the top, the bottom may unscrew as well. If the top is not screwed on tight enough, the motion when the squirrels ore on it eventually will unscrew the top and the feeder will fall to the ground with the top still on the pole. Finally, there are inside curved shelves above the hole to prevent the seed fro pouring out. The squirrels can chew through the plastic causing these inside baffles to fall off and the seed pours out to the squirrel's delight. I have tried three of these and the all have the same flaws. The company has been very cooperative in letting me return them.
