Frontline Plus ^® for Cats

Frontline contains fipronil, which spreads via the body oils killing fleas or ticks within 24-48 hours. Fleas and ticks are generally killed before they bite, decreasing the risk of flea allergy dermatitis and tick-borne disease transmission. Approved for use on kittens 8 weeks and older.

Frontline Plus also contains (S)-methoprene, an Insect Growth Regulator, which prevents an insect from maturing or reproducing. Approved for use on kittens 8 weeks and older.

Ingredients:Frontline: Fipronil (9.7%), Inert ingredients (90.3%);Frontline Plus: Fipronil (9.8%), S-Methoprene (11.8%)

Availability: Frontline is a non-prescription, over-the-counter product.

How this product should be used: Frontline for use on cats and kittens 8 weeks or older. Frontline Plus for cats and kittens 8 weeks and older. Place the applicator tip through animal's hair to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot to the animal's skin. Use only one applicator per treatment. Do not reapply for 30 days.

What are the side effects: Pets may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist or become more severe within a few days of application, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Precautions: This product is for external use only on cats and kittens. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals, animals using this product with other pesticides, and debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals. This product is harmful to humans if swallowed. Call a physician or poison control center. Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting unless patient is unconscious. This product can cause eye injury. Flush eyes with plenty of water. Call a physician if irritation persists. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

In the event of overdose: Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.

How should I store this product: Store this product at room temperature. Store in the original container only. To dispose wrap original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Individual Sensitivities:
Some animals may be sensitive to ingredients in this product. Observe your pet following treatment. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product on pets. Please read entire manufacturer’s insert prior to using product. As with any product consult your veterinarian before using on medicated, debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals.
