Universal check valve allows water to flow in one direction only

Essential for protecting your aquarium air pump from back-siphoning damage

A simple, home aquarium safety precaution
Add this simple one-way check valve to all airline tubing to prevent the natural back-siphoning of water. Back-siphoning is dangerous because it could ruin your aquarium air pump, possibly drain the aquarium, and create a puddle and shock hazard on the floor surrounding your aquarium. This convenient air check valve allows you to place your air pump below the aquarium water level, such as in an aquarium stand. Without an air check valve, the air pump would need to be placed above water level. Please note: Assorted colors.
