What should I discuss with my veterinarian while considering Pyoben® Shampoo for my pet?
Talk to your veterinarian about what type of outcome is expected. Have your veterinarian explain the other treatment options that may be available to treat your pet's condition.
Tell your veterinarian if your pet develops skin irritation while using this product. If your pet's skin condition persists or no improvement is seen within 7 days, consult your veterinarian.
Notify your veterinarian of any other medications or supplements your pet is taking, or if your pet has had any reactions to previous medications.
Who should not take it?
Not for use in patients hypersensitive (allergic) to it or to similar products.
May bleach colored fabrics.
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes or mucus membranes. In case of contact, flush eyes with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Wash hands after use.
Consult with your veterinarian regarding the physical examinations and laboratory testing necessary prior to and during treatment with benzoyl peroxide shampoo.
What side effects may be seen when taking Pyoben® Shampoo?
None if used according to directions.
If condition persists or does not improve in 7 days, consult your veterinarian.
How is it stored?
Store in a tight, light resistant, childproof container at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
What should I do if I know of or suspect there has been an overdose?
Adverse reactions and toxicities are unlikely.
If you know or suspect your pet has had an overdose, or if you observe any unusual signs, symptoms, or behaviors in your pet, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
What should I avoid when giving my pet Pyoben® Shampoo?
Consult with your veterinarian before using benzoyl peroxide shampoo with any other medications, including vitamins and supplements, since interactions may occur.
