Tell your veterinarian if your pet has a history of seizures, heart disease, or is pregnant, could be pregnant, or is nursing puppies.
Notify your veterinarian of any other medications or supplements your pet is taking and also if your pet has had any reactions to previous medications.
What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to the regular schedule. Do not give two doses at once.
What is the most important information I should know?

If severe diarrhea or stomach upset occurs, contact your veterinarian who may need to adjust the dose.
Who should not take it?
Not for use in animals hypersensitive (allergic) to it or hypersensitive to prostaglandins. Do not use in pregnant animals, since it may cause abortion. Do not use in lactating animals (female animals nursing their young), as the puppies may develop serious diarrhea. Do not use in animals with vascular (blood vessel) disease of the brain or heart.
What side effects may be seen when taking Misoprostol?
May see diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, or flatulence (excess gas). May see vaginal bleeding or uterine contractions in female dogs.
How is it stored?

What should I do if I know of or suspect there has been an overdose?
If you know or suspect your pet has had an overdose, contact your veterinarian immediately. Signs of an overdose include diarrhea, vomiting, seizures, and weakness.
