It's got those squirrels "Baffled"!
This product is as advertised! The key is that it is 36" long and I fastened it as far up the post as possible. My sister bought a 24" model and eventually, the squirrels jumped high enough to get traction about half way up and the sprint to the top was only a foot away. With the 36" baffle, they still have two feet to go and they just slide down the baffle.

Very effective; just have the right pole.
The baffle would not slide over any metal pole stand I could find due to the poles having split feet at the bottom, and hooks at the top. So I simply bought an 8' wooden dowl and attached a hook to the top (to hang the bird feeder). The baffle easily slides up the pole from the bottom, and is very easy to attach.
Once set up, it works great. The squirrels tried for awhile, but eventually gave up. I also like the way this looked as opposed to the wider cone barriers.

Not easy to install
Glad you ASK !
Impossible to thread the baffle through the shepherd head or to the feet.
I got another pole and with a hack -saw cut the head of one and the feet
to another and managed to tie the two poles together.
Then because of the two useless openings and the outside diameter of the screw support being too small, one screw would managed to get
through the opening and the baffle would fall.
Again I cut a piece of steel the dia. of the baffle head and added it to the screw support ( not easy ).
Simple solution : use sheet metal screws in lieu of rivets for baffle.If you want I can make a sketch of what I had to do and will be happy to send it to you.

Clever Product, but...
I have owned one of these for years and they work effectively. However, when I received this one I found that the metal collar that holds the screws to secure the baffle to the pole is now made of plastic. The plastic part flexes during installation and tends to go "out of round" hindering installation on the pole. Second, and more importantly, in one week squirrels have already chewed halfway through the plastic collar. I think it's just a matter of time before they get fully through the collar and the baffle falls. I will have to check my hardware or plumbing suppy store to see if I can find a similar metal part that I can substitute for the plastic part. Nice product, but substituting a plastic part for metal is not a smart move when dealing with hungry squirrels. If you are handy I am sure you can find a workaround metal part in a hardware store.
