Ingeniously engineered.
Finally, a squirrel deterrent that actually works. Brilliantly engineered, and durably made. It is also reasonably unobtrusive in it's appearance. I have only had it out for about a week, so my positive comments on it's effectiveness might be a bit premature. But so far, the only "customers" to my pole mounted bird feeder have been birds. At last I can feed my feathered friends without feeding dozens and dozens of squirrels and chipmunks, too. A great product!

No such thing as "Squirrel Proof"
This baffle is pretty awesome. It’s very easy to put together and looks better than other styles I’ve seen though it’s not perfect. After having been in place for several days I noticed a small red squirrel sitting on top of the dome which is about five inches below the squirrel resistant feeder. He was able to get to the feeder by jumping from the tree that’s only three feet away (I’m not cutting down my tree) and was sitting on top of the baffle dome stealing seeds to his heart’s content!
I ended up removing the dome portion of the baffle. That said, those darn rodents can now simply climb the pole to get to the feeder so I had to place something on top of the bracket that holds the baffle to the pole; it sits only two or three inches down. I rigged up a temporary insert; will put a piece of screen inside in the spring and haven’t seen another squirrel since. That may simply be that I’ve been looking at the wrong time.
This is a good looking product, even without the dome and I think it’ll keep the squirrels challenged for ways to get to the seeds. I don’t think there will be a winner in this war between the squirrels and myself but now they have to really work for ways to get to the feeder and that’s entertaining itself.

Wrap Around Squirrel Baffle
This is a one of a kind product. I looked all over the internet for a wrap around baffle that would fit a 51/2" circumference post. There is nothing out there quite like this. It has a two piece circular device that attaches around the post with thumb screws and then you attach the baffle to that. It is not that difficult to assemble.
Does it work. Don't know yet. So far my squirrel friends are baffled by it and have not made an attempt to climb. Thinking about putting some peanut butter on it to attract the squirrles and watch them bounce up and down trying to get to the peanut butter. The baffle is attached to two springs that move the apparatus when the squirrels is climbing on it.

It Works
This works! It was the only baffle I could find that would fit my 1.5" post. I installed in on a cold day and had a trouble driving the screws. The screw holes are either too small or the screws are too big but none of the screws is seated flush so there's a little gap where the 2 halves fit together. But I haven't seen a squirrel on my feeder since I repositioned this baffle higher on the post. I had first positioned it at the lowest height that the instructions recommended but my squirrels just jumped over it and into the feeder. Once I repositioned it so the top is about 5' up the post the squirrels are frustrated. I would recommend this product.
