I love this feeder! I have heard of a DIY feeder on pinterest that is to simulate this feeder. Although it is simple to make, it is not a quality replica. It would last a year or so. THIS feeder will last for years!! Heavy gauge loops and hanger make this an outstanding choice for anyone looking for a peanut feeder. You will NOT be disappointed purchasing this peanut feeder.

This ring feeder took our neighborhood squirrels hardly any time to figure out, now they absolutely love it. I really enjoy watching them hang upside down from the top and removing peanuts very carefully. The only caution I have is make sure you have plenty of peanuts on hand, our squirrels can empty this in about 15 minutes!

I had been in the market for a peanut feeder that would be a good distraction for the squirrels and chipmunks, yet accessible to the birds. This one fit the bill perfectly. I placed this at the front of the house so they are a distance away from the feeders in the back and, my main problem, the potted plants on the deck. The birds enjoy having access to the peanuts and somehow they are always the first to know the feeder has been filled. The Titmice love this thing, as do several types woodpeckers, Chickadees, Carolina Wrens, Cardinals, Jays, and I've even noticed that the White-Throated Sparrows hang out underneath waiting for shelled peanuts to fall. Filling it is a little cumbersome and time consuming, but it's worth the entertainment and piece of mind.
