Mandarin Squirrel-Away Baffle Color: Clear
A baffle that works! I have used the usual dome shape for the past year, spending lots of time checking for the squirrel sitting on my gazego-shaped feeder, banging on the window, running out the front door and overall - stressed. I went through a lot of black oil sunflower seeds and occasionally the squirrels were successful in knocking it to the ground and too often, the feeder cracked and broken.
I finally made the monetary investment in this mandarin-style baffle and life has been so peaceful.
In addition, I further invested in feeding the squirrels with Drs' wreath-shaped peanuts-in-shell hanger and a corn cob holder along with the chair corn feeder and life is good for all of us.
I have to load the feeder less often and I've recently purchased a STEEL feeder so now I'm enjoying watching everyone happy and well fed.

works like a charm
The mandarin baffle worked perfectly. It was delivered promptly and was hanging shortly thereafter. It replaced a dome shaped baffle that did not work - probably because it was not steep enough. I was thoroughly entertained watching the critters fall off the mandarin baffle. After a few days they gave up and have moved on to easier pickings! The purchase price was well worth it! I highly recommend this product - I wish I didn't waste money on the dome shaped baffle first!

Squirrel problem? Buy this product!
I never write product reviews but this Squirrel Away baffle is so spectacular, I had to share my experience. Nothing stopped the squirrels before this baffle. We tried numerous products and bird feeder styles. This baffle is designed so squirrels may manage to perch at the top, but as they try to move down toward the bird food, they slide right off! It's very amazing to watch. After a few times sliding off, they give up. Buy this product! You won't be disappointed.

It Really Works1
I have tried just about every baffle and tool to deter squirrels you can think of. This one actually works - though it does depend on the type of feeder you put under it. What works best is a small feeder, like a peanut feeder or other small feeder.
I have a 12 inch peanut feeder that I'm able to keep unshelled peanuts in now, and the squirrels can't get to them and haven't been able to for several years now.
I now have four of these baffles, and also use them with large Yankee Whipper feeders with collapsing perches. While the squirrels are still able to get into these, it's a LOT harder for them, and I have to fill the feeders less often. This is a great squirrel deterrent and will save you money on birdseed - it's well worth the investment!!!
