Wonderful! Works great!
I love this feeder! We had problems with sparrows, starlings, grackles and everybody else eating all of the suet out of the cage suet feeders, and not giving our woodpeckers a chance. Now they can't get to the suet, so they have to eat the seed instead. It took a while and a little trial and error to attrack the woodpeckers. We attached a cage feeder to the bottom to bring the birds to the new feeder. Actually the first bird to figure it out was a nuthatch. Now Downies, Nuthatches and even Titmice are feeding on it. So far no Hairy or Red Breasted Woodpeckers tho that were common on the cage feeders. I would recommend this feeder highly to anyone that has a problem with other "greedy" birds eating all of the suet!

This is a good product
This feeder is excellent in protecting the suet from starlings and grackles. Now I can enjoy watching the woodpeckers.

Durable but too small for suet cake
Product has great potential BUT the cross section is too small for a normal suet cake. I had to crush the edges of the cake[ cutting a section off would work as well] to get the cake in to the feeder.
It needs to be about a quarter of an inch larger on the length and width to let the cake just drop in.
