Cardinals will flock to you
I heartily recommend the Premium Cardinal Mix as an excellent product. Cardinals are big fans of safflower seeds and this mix is chock full of them as well as the enticing (for birds) black oil sunflower seeds both in and out of shell. However, it is not only Cardinals that will be drawn to this mix as I count a variety of sparrows, House and Purple finches, Mourning Doves, Tufted Titmouse and Chickadees among the regular visitors to my feeders. There is little to no waste with this mix so it more than justifies the slightly higher cost. As always, Foster & Smith supply a top notch product along with excellent service.

Beautiful looking & fresh but not for my birds taste.
The Cardinal mix arrived in a vaccume sealed bag and was nice and fresh and clean. As stated, no waste. I have dozens of Cardinals visiting my feeders along with Blue Jays and Doves. None cared for this mix as much as my regular cardinal mix with sunflowers & nuts. Whatever the small white "rice" shaped seed is (looks like pumpkin seed) none of the birds will take it so it stays in the tray and causes the seed to back up and not flow, and there were lots of them in this mix. Have to continuously shake the feeder to or clear the tray get flow going again. Nice idea .. it is "for the birds" ... but not mine!
