Waste-Free Fine Sunflower Chips 5 lbs (approx. 5 qts)
Best wild bird food ever
No mess...that is one of the best aspects of this wonderful food. We use it on a backyard deck, and anything that drops down is eaten by squirrels and morning doves. We live in the Eastern U.S., and this food is beloved by nearly every bird we have...from the little golden finches and chickadees to the cardinals. The largest bird that comes is a bluejay. We also have less of the nuisance birds such as crows and grackles. Last winter, we had an entire flock of bluebirds stay with us all winter! Also beloved by parents feeding their babies who are newly fledged. We no longer buy any other seed for our several feeders.

Granule size is perfect for the many small finches I have.
I have a wide variety of wild birds and feeders. By far the most popular of the feeders is the one with the small sunflower chips that I sent away for. Every station is constantly busy.

Excellent bird seed
Birds love it, husband loves that it's truly no waste and I love that it comes in 5-lb bags regardless of quantity ordered. So far it's been completely bug free - a plus!

Fine sunflower chips
My regular supplier of sunflower chips discontinued their finer cut chips and now were only carrying uncut sunflower hearts. i tried to use those in my feeders, but the small birds -- goldfinches, chickadees, pine siskins -- were unable to swallow the full size seeds and would take the large seeds out of the port and just drop them on the ground, so I wound up feeding pricey sunflower hearts to the squirrels, who have no limit to their appetite. I couldn't find another feed store close to home, so I went on-line and found these chips at Drs. Foster and Smith. The little birds like them, I like them, and the price is right. Going to the website right now to place a second order.
