Neat & clean I live in senior housing where bird feeders are not usually permitted because of the mess. I fill my bird feeder with premium waste free bird food and my feeder is permitted. There is no mess, but plenty of birds to keep everyone happy. Thank you. January 21, 2013

best no waste mixture anywhere it is the BEST no waste seed i have ever used...no cheap fillers like tiny millet that the birds are supposed to like but seem to kick to the ground. NONE of this gets wasted...all the birds love it which makes it a little expensive to use all the time. I try to wait until it is on sale then order ALOT of it & store it in a cool dry place. I also add some other things that the birds like such as cracked corn & safflower seeds which makes it last longer. November 25, 2012

Best waste free bird seed ever! This was my second purchase of waste-free bird seed from you. I really liked it the first time I bought it (and so did the birds). But thinking it would be cheaper and easier to buy a waste free birdseed at a local store, I really made a big mistake!. Not only did I have fewer birds visiting, but it was so full of dust, I had to take my free standing bird feeder apart and throw the seed away. I will stick to the Premium Waste-Free Total Cuisine from now on. September 29, 2012

the total quisine no waste seed will attract the most beautiful songbirds to your yard but unfortunately i have not discovered a way to keep out the least desirable birds...they love it too!

I live in Tennessee and see all types of birds at my feeders as I use this year around. I have everything from finches to woodpeckers at my feeders. I have them set up outside some of my bedroom windows and love to just sit and watch them every day.

All in all, I would say no. However, if you are a nitpicker about how your lawn looks and don't want anything other than green leafs of grass to grow, I wouldn't allow the shells to gather in one spot or you may have wild flowers gro from the shells that still retianed seeds. The shells will eventually break down as natural fertilzer. Just spread it out on your lawn without any problems.They don't cause any problem for our green lawn made up of St. Augustine grass.
