Hand Painted Hummingbird Feeder

Hand Painted Hummingbird Feeder holds 3 oz of hummingbird nectar (1.5 oz per jar). Overall feeder dimensions measure 4-1/2" x 10-1/2" high and 18" with hanger. Feeder body measures 2-3/8" in diameter.

To Clean:
Step 1
Take out the two jars with covers and clean separately.

Step 2
Place the entire "assembled" feeder, including the top, body and wire into hot soapy water.

Step 3
Wash the top piece with a scrub brush, rag, etc.

Step 4
Wash the painted body with a soft rag, or your hand. Remember the body (PVC pipe) has 5 coats of paint. The first two coats are a family secret. The third coat is the hand painted "art work" and the fourth and fifth coats are clear lacquer for long lasting beauty.

Step 5
Rinse the unit in clear water and let dry for a few minutes.

Step 6
Fill the jars with nectar to the plastic ridge to the lower plastic ridge approx. 1/2" from top of jar. Insert the jars into the feeder without spilling any liquid.

Step 7
Replace the feeder in its special place and continue watching those wonderful hummingbirds.

Note: If you fill the jars to the proper level and not spill any nectar, you will never have any pesky ants or bees to contend with!

Care Tip
A protective crystal clear acrylic gloss spray (Krylon) or similar coating protects the hand painting. However, protecting the hand painting is recommended every few years with a new coat of acrylic crystal clear gloss spray (Krylon) or similar.
