Birds love it! I love it!
I purchased one of these in Nov 2005 that worked great. The birds loved it and the squirrels couldn't get to the seed. This one finally broke in 2012 and I bought another. Not the same quality, but it still works. Only problem is a deer, a buck ate some seed below it and mush have gotten spooked and took off with it on its antlers. Now, have to buy another. Chickadees were regular customers with this one.

excellent product
This bird feeder exceeds my expectations. It is attractive to look at and more important, attractive to all kinds of songbirds. The squirrels have given up on getting a free lunch and the blue jays look elsewhere when their weight closes the feeding ports.
Your service was impeccable too!

Needed to modify the poor design
I have a love/hate relationship with this feeder. It does keep the squirrels away from our food, and the birds have no issues eating from the feeder. We also have not had an issues with the squirrels chewing on it to get to the food like some of the other reviewers have mentioned.
However, when refilling the feeder shortly after purchasing, the top part did break off. This made it impossible to hang without modification. We were able to string some wire through the holes that the top used to connect into, and hang it that way. This seems to work for now. I imagine we will have to replace the wire often in order to keep using it.
That being said, I haven't found any other squirrel-proof feeder that works as well as this one. It's probably worth it if your expectations aren't very high, or if you are willing to make modifications when necessary.

design needs work
This feeder would be perfect if the seed slots were metal instead of plastic. The squirrels hang on the feeder and chew on the plastic opening until they can get to the seed. This one little tweak would make this the perfect squirrel proof feeder. (I have bought 4 of these, two were destroyed and the other two are on their way to being unusable.)
