I've always loved feeding birds and I've found this Sock Feeder is the best for Chicadees, Finches of all kinds and even a curious Sparrow. If you don't see a lot of Finches on it at first, just be patient. You will.

The first time I saw a sock feeder I thought that it was a very strange thing and wondered if it would really work. I bought one and was amazed that, it not only worked, but the variety of colorful birds it attracted was incredible. This thing attracts birds that I had never seen before. Now I keep a sock feeder in my yard all the time.

Wow! I don't know where Drs. Foster and Smith get their Nyjer seed, but my finches (and a few other birds too) went after these with a vengeance! I have another nyjer seed filled finch feeder that went untouched once I hung up these socks.

I have two of these bags hanging on my deck railing. The beautiful Goldfinches LOVE them. They cling on and eat the seeds. Some seed falls out, but not much at all. These have lasted quite a while. I also have a birdbath on the deck where the finches go for water. There are pots with Anise Hyssop that bloom in summer. When those go to seed, the Goldfinches go crazy for that - but that won't happen till late summer. I have Goldfinches year round (central Texas) so these bags of seed are perfect! These bags can also be refilled if you get bulk seed.
