System comes with two pole options that break down for easy storage |
Large capacity, 5' 8" tall squirrelproof feeder offers seed to wild birds, not pesky squirrels. Oversized seed tray boasts an 18-1/2" diameter, baffles squirrels from below, and supplies wild birds a comfortable place to perch while they dine. Clear, UV-stabilized polycarbonate construction won't yellow over time. 15" diameter baffle fits snugly on top of the seed chamber and protects the feeder from the elements and baffles from above. Extra-large, 8-1/2" diameter seed chamber means less spilling during refills and you can easily fit your hands inside to clean. Eight rotating feeder port regulators adjust seed flow with a simple turn for any seed type.
System comes equipped with two "break-down" pole sets: a pointed tip pole for staking directly into the ground and a screw-in auger tip pole for extra firmness. Easy-to-install powder-coated, rust-resistant steel auger presents sturdy, level pole placement and keeps feeder stable. Auger features three-16" lever extension arms that sit directly on the ground surface to keep feeder straight and upright, even on the windiest of days.
Loosen screw clamp below the feeder to lower seed chamber for easy access during cleaning and refilling. Screw clamps allow feeder to be placed at any level on the pole and eliminate the need to turn the entire feeder when setting the feeder up and tightening the pole mounts. Included threaded plastic adaptor piece can be used if you would like to add another pole-mounted feeder on top of pole. Holds 4 quarts (approximately 6 lbs) of mixed seed. Feeder measures 18-1/2" dia x 5' 8" high.

Assembly Instructions
Position the Giant Seed Tray (GS) on the pole, supporting it with the Complete Clamp (CC) or Squeeze Clamp (SC). To ensure protection against squirrels, the GS must be mounted at least 4' high on the pole and in an area that squirrels cannot jump to from above.
Assemble the body of the feeder by inserting the prongs on the underside of the seed unit into the slots in the colored port, snapping the two pieces together. Rotate the two pieces to adjust the flow of seed. Slip the unit on the pole, resting it on the Giant Seed Tray. Slide the Universal Cover on top and secure it in place with the Squeeze Clamp. To refill, simply remove the Squeeze Clamp and slide the cover up.
Cleaning Instructions
To clean, remove all the pieces from the pole. Disassemble the seed unit and colored port by spreading the prongs on the seed unit enough to the side through the slots of the colored port.
Keeping your feeders clean is a very important part of bird feeding. Bacteria and disease are spread through bird droppings on feeders, seed and hulls below the feeder. Damp feed and debris can cultivate a fungus.
- Sanitize feeder regularly with a solution of hot water and white vinegar, once a month in winter, more often in hot and humid weather. Do NOT use harsh chemicals.
- Throw out any wet or moldy food and disinfect any containers or scoops used to handle it.
- Rake, shovel or shop-vac seed debris from beneath feeders on a regular basis to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria and to deter rodents.
