Original Absolute Feeder

Heritage Farms Original Absolute Feeder keeps out squirrels and larger, unwanted birds. Weight sensitive perch with adjustable weight settings allows you to select the size and type of birds to feed. Powder-coated steel body resists squirrel and weather damage. Includes mounting pole and heavy-duty metal hanger for versatile installation. Holds 10 quarts seed. The Original Absolute Feeder measures 14-1/2" x 11-1/4" x 9-1/4" high. Mounting Pole measures 1" diameter x 57-1/2".

1. Attach Plastic Pole Bracket to Reinforcing Bracket using (4) provided screws and nuts.
2. Attach assembled bracket (from Step 1) to feeder bottom using the remaining (4) screws and nuts. Note position of the bracket when mounting.
3. Position one section of the pole, small end up, through the Mounting Bracket.
4. Assemble pole sections.

No-Rust Plastic Ground Socket
Dig a hole 10 inches deep. Insert a ball of tissue into one end of Ground Socket. With tissue end down, center in hole and pack tightly with dirt or concrete. Top of Ground Socket should be at ground level for easier mowing.

1. Punch four "hole knock-outs" on sides of feeder with a hammer and screwdriver.
2. Flex hanger outward.
3. Lower fixed hanger over feeder.
4. Position hanger in the hole and slot on each side of the feeder.
5. To secure hanger, open lid and slide Retaining Clips onto hanger inside of feeder.
6. Hang feeder from a tree or use a hanging accessory.

1. Gently squeeze to release latch and swing the lid open.
2. Lid locks in OPEN position for easy filling.
3. The special TopLoc™ feature conveniently holds the lid open for easy filling or cleaning. Before you close the feeder, you must first "unlock" the lid by lifting the lid upward. NOTE: Lid hinges may be damaged if undue force is applied while lid is "locked" in OPEN position.
4. Swing the lid closed, making sure the latch is secured.

Adjusting Your Feeder
Absolute™ feeders are designed to keep out unwanted birds or animals. The Thumb Screws on both sides of the feeder should be loosened, the counter weight pulled out to the setting you desire, and the screws tightened firmly. The numbered settings on the bar represent ounces. A setting of "2" (ounces) is recommended for general purpose feeding. Refer to the table below to ensure the birds you wish to feed are covered in your bird weight setting.

Note:
The Pole Bracket adapter fits the pole kit included with this feeder. To mount feeder to a wooden post, attach Reinforcing Bracket directly to post with screws (not included).
