Mini Squirrel Buster Feeder

Feed birds and eliminate pesky squirrels from accessing seed. Metal mesh feeder effectively stops thieving red and gray squirrels from accessing birdseed without causing them harm. Birds can access seed through chew-proof painted metal mesh shroud. However, the patented squirrel buster technology forces the spring-loaded shroud down and closes seed access when squirrels are on the birdfeeder. Feeder features Negative Grip Tube technology, which prevents squirrels from grabbing the wire hanger with their hind legs, hanging down alongside the feeder and defeating the closing mechanism. Patented seed tube ventilation allows humidity and hot air to move upward and escape through vents at the top of the feeder to keep seed fresh longer. Accommodating feeder features four u-shaped metal perches for perching birds while mesh outer caters to cling feeding wild birds. Easily disassembles for cleaning and filling. Holds 3/4 quart wild bird seed. Measures 3-3/4" dia x 12" high.

Do not put feeder in the dishwasher. The high temperatures generated in a dishwasher will damage the feeder components.

1. Lift the Negative Grip tube.
2. Unhook the hanger.
3. Lift off the metal mesh shroud.
4. Fill with seed.
5. Replace shroud.
6. Insert hooked end of hanger.
7. Slide Negative Grip Tube over hanger hook.
8. Hang feeder.

Hanging Instructions
Remember it's the squirrel's weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a nearby foothold and avoid placing weight on the feeder, it will be able to access the seed. Allow for 16 inches or 40 cm of clearance around the feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb onto the feeder and trigger the closing mechanism.

Note: The spring mechanism is calibrated at the factory to close at 4.0 oz/115 g. The smaller Red Squirrels, as well as the larger Gray Squirrels, are shut out at this setting.
