My Rats LoveThis ! Thought I would order this food because I had bought regular pet store food and my girls left most of it in their bowl. When I received the Premium rat food, it didn't look as colorful as the store stuff, but I was impressed at the high quality of the lab blocks. When I filled the food bowl, my three ratties could tell the difference! They pounced on the food and it was gone in minutes. They LOVE this new food. November 29, 2012

RATS MAKE AWESOME PETS but seed mixes ate NEVER appropriate for rats. The best rat food is Regal Rat, by Oxbow. And they need fresh vegetables and a little fruit every day..

Rats and mice need a certain amount of protein and fat in their diet; you shouldn't feed them "low-fat" foods, as they are omnivores -- unlike hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs, which are herbivores and don't need as much fat.

Of the Rodent family, rats make probably the best pets. They are clean (as long as you clean their cages regularly; you can even litter train them, if you know how), and they are more friendly and intelligent than any other pet rodent. The only thing people don't tend to like is the tail; it grosses them out, I guess, but you get used to it. Rats also live longer than most small rodents, on average.

Thank you for your question. The label on the bag is black and orange and has a picture of 2 rats, white one on hind legs and bi-color one on all fours. The bag also has the list of ingredients on the left side.
