no food spilled, easy to eat from and easy to refill
I LOVE the plastic feeder bin. My guinea pigs used to stand in or dump every other small pet food bowl. Pellets are no longer wasted with this food dispenser. An added plus is that it is easy for me to refill and I can refill it a few times a week instead of multiple times a day. The height of the trough at the bottom is also perfect for guinea pigs. They don't need to stand up on the edge and reach down to eat. I will never use a different feeder again.

Good size feeder
This feeder holds lots of food. I never fill up that full though because my bunnies will always eat pellets over hay which isn't good for them. However, I have 2 rabbits sharing one cage and the smaller food bowls just weren't big enough. I didn't want 2 bowls so this does the job. The method of fixing it to the cage didn't seem to work on my cage (I use a large dog crate) but I got round that by cable tying it on which works fine(pretty much everything in their cage is cable tied!).

Thank Goodness!
I first started using these with my rats and what a blessing it is! I have the plastic one right now, but I am switching to the metal one. They have chewed the plastic one to oblivion and it now reeks of male rat. Blech! This is way better than the old bowl idea though. They were constantly flipping the bowl and emptying it and hiding away the contents. Now they get bored before they can empty the entire thing...hahah.
When I first brought it home, my husband laughed at me and said "oh that's what we used to use for our 4-H rabbits." He thought it was hilarious that I was amazed by it.
Anyway, now we are getting the metal ones: one for our rats and one for our rabbit. :) I love this feeder!
