Sherwood Forest Lactating & Growing Baby Rabbit Food

Help your baby bunnies make the switch from doe's milk at weaning while providing the energy they need for healthy growth. This is the only feed on the market that is low in carbohydrates (starch and grain which baby rabbits don't digest well) but rich in fat "like mamma's milk." The high fat content (8% vs. the common 2-3 %) provides the best nutrition for baby rabbits before and after weaning (up to about 10-12 weeks of age) and their lactating moms. Sherwood Forest only uses high quality cleaned whole ingredients and grinds them fresh just prior to pelleting. This premiere formula's custom blend of proprietary whole oil seeds, essential amino acids, and chelated minerals perfectly complements and balances the nutrients already naturally found in the feed ingredients. 1/8" pellets.

If your baby rabbit is suffering from diarrhea, this feed is designed to be the answer! A baby rabbit will be a lot healthier when fed a specially designed baby rabbit food that is high in fat (like "mamma's milk") and fiber but low in starch (sugar). Baby rabbits don't fully develop the enzymes needed to digest excess starch (sugar) until later in life. Feeding baby rabbits a diet with a lot of grain or grain by-products makes them more likely to get diarrhea.

Feeding Directions: Feed freely as the complete ration to lactating and growing rabbits (to at least 10-12 weeks of age). We do not recommend supplementing the diet with anything else because it will unbalance the diet and dilute the nutrients it provides. Not recommended for pregnant rabbits.

Caution: Store feed in a dry area out of direct sunlight. Never feed moldy feed to any animal. Rabbits should have access to food and clean water at all times. Sanitary housing and proper ventilation are needed to promote optimal health.
