Oxbow Natural Science Vitamin C 60 tabs
Piggies love it so I love it!
I had been using another supplement that my piggies weren't too thrilled about but ate nonetheless. This new oxbow vitamin c supplement has gone over so well with my 3 piggies, who can be finicky eaters, that I am absolutely amazed. It is the first thing they go for when I fill up their food dish in the morning! I very highly recommend this product to other guinea pig owners. It is excellent quality and my piggies love the taste of the oxbow vitamin c supplements according to my in-home testing.

My guinea pig is fussy. He won't eat his Vitamin C unless it's in his fresh fruits and veggies. I bought this with high hopes. He's very picky about his treats, too. The fact that he ate 5 of these before stopping is a VERY good endorsement by him. As long as I don't give these to him daily, he'll eat them when I give them to him. That is very high praise from my boar!

I have two senior female guinea pigs who have been on the old Oxbow Daily C for the past 2 years. I didn't realize they had been discontinued so ordered a jar of these new ones. They are extremely hard. My girls can not eat them unless I wet them first. They need to soften them or bring back the old tablets. Nutritionally, and if you can get your animal to eat it, they are a good product. I will have to switch to something else.

why do they keep changing this product
i love Oxbow products and use them for my guinea pigs but Im getting really irritated they keep reformulating their vitamin C tabs. this is the third incarnation i have seen since I started having guinea pigs as pets (roughly 7 years). i used to give the little orange tabs as treats daily. i didnt realize they discontinued those so i ordered these thinking they would be comparable. these are terrible and my guinea pigs hate them. they are rock hard. i haven't tried wetting them as someone else suggested so maybe i will try that. they are rather flat too so not the easiest thing for a rodent to pick up when it's lying flat. i think they are supposed to be a cross between a hay cake and a vitamin C tab. my pigs love hay cakes and loved the old vitamin C tabs. they hate these. the only saving grace is the bottle wasnt very expensive so i didn't waste too much money because they wont eat these. i have seen them nibble small bits off then they are basically like "no thanks"
if i leave them in the cage they dont go back to them later.
please bring back the old formula!
