Feeding Directions: Feed each individual degu approximately 1 ounce (2-1/2 level tablespoons) of pellets per day. Lactating females should be offered food at all times. Remove and discard any uneaten food each morning. Fresh water should always be available. Clean and refill containers daily.
Note: While this formula provides an excellent base diet, hay is a staple of the natural degu diet and should be available to your pet at all times. Feed timothy or sweetgrass hay, which are perfect for your pet degu. Degus also enjoy a variety of fresh vegetables given in small quantities, such as carrots, peeled sweet potato, green beans, and leafy greens.
You have to carefully choose what you feed your small pet each day, just like how you have to be careful to eat a balanced diet yourself. Here we talk about what food rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, and other small pets need to eat every day.
Sugar Glider Profile: The average captive lifespan of a sugar glider can be 10 to 15 years, though they live about half as long in the wild. Sugar gliders should be kept in groups (called colonies) as they are very social animals.
