Pet Ag Bene-Bac 4-pack; 1 g per tube
This is a great product that has really come in handy when my guinea pigs are having soft stool issues. I have used it a number of times. It is way cheaper on this site than from my vet office (the vet charges about 10 dollars a pack!!). I highly recommend for small animals on antibiotics or with soft stool.

Product sucessfully treated sweet bunny's constipation.
Our bunny, Joey, was constipated on & off for weeks. I would spend hours each day rubbing his tummy to ease his discomfort. We brought him to the vet at one point to get an IV to rehydrate because he was doing so poorly. His condition did not seem to be from a blockage, so I did some online research about GI Stasis and rabbit stomach bacteria and read favourable things about Benebac. It took some searching for a distributor who mailed to Canada, but Dr Foster & Smith to the rescue! The Benebac arrived within 2 weeks, which was great. I have administered the first & second dose, with good results. Joey avoided me for the first few days, I think his stomach was having a small war with the new flora. But he was eating and drinking plenty of water and pooping up a storm and now that it's the fourth day of treatment he is bright-eyed & full of beans. Hooray!

Product Review: Bene-Bac Plus
My vet prescribed this for my pet rat when she was taking antibiotics (note that this is a non-prescription product), saying it would help with the microflora and good bacteria. I also gave some to my younger rat, when I noticed my girls were eating less from the stress of moving.
I have no idea what they put in this, but my ratties LOVED it. Also, I don't know if I was imagining it, but the girls' coats seem a little brighter and shinier. This could, of course, be due to a number of different reasons, but this product does seem to be beneficial overall.
The tube that the product comes in is, however, very poorly designed. It's difficult to squeeze out the last drops of the product, and considering there's only 1 gram in each tube, it amounts to an uncomfortable amount of waste. The substance is so thick that it's impossible to measure with a syringe, so I had to eyeball the dosage for my older rat.
All in all, I would recommend this product. I would, nevertheless, purchase it more often, were it to come in a more practical packaging with easier dispensing and dispensing marks.
