My little guy is pushing 12, but you would never know it by how excited he gets for these things. At his age his teeth are not as good of shape as when he was a pup, but he won't stop chewing until it's gone. This is his nightly treat when I clean out his cage he runs to his hammock and waits for me to hand him one. I get them to him whole, I do not cut them up and he loves them. these are the only chew treats I have ever found that he likes.

My ferrets rush to me every morning because that's when I give them these "treats". They know the drive up window is open then.
Most important to me is all the ingredients are healthy for ferrets. Very few treats are made 100% healthy ingredients for ferrets.. Corn and sweeteners are common in treats.
It is said the chewing helps their teeth and gums.
I cut them into small pieces, just because I like them to visit me several times. ;-) If the "treats are left open, they get dry and are harder to actually cut, but using scissors, I can make a notch. Then they snap off with your hand, quite easily,
My ferrets love them both ways, but I'm guessing when piece is dried, they have to put more effort into chewing more, benefitting their teeth and gums more.
I make sure to never run out of these dental treats.

Over the years and about 15 ferrets , we decided to go with the tartar control treats , best idea we have had for ferrets, keeps their teeth clean, which means less brushing, they like the treat and we have gotten away from the softer treats. I would recommend this to anyone.
AS a ferret owner you know to start the new ferrets off immediately upon arrival Since they favor only certain foods as they grow older..

My ferrets a a little picky when it comes to food. It was hard for me to get them off of a kibble diet and on to a meat diet. Treats are even more troublesome because if they don't like it then they don't think it is a treat. However my ferrets didn't even question these treats. As soon as they sniffed it they bit them and stashed them and ate them. They love their N'Bone treats!
