Kricket Keeper® Live Cricket Habitat

Finally it's possible to keep your reptile's favorite live food source readily available thanks to the innovative Kricket Keeper cricket care and dispensing kit. When properly cared for, crickets can provide your herp valuable protein, vitamins and minerals. In the past, crickets were difficult to keep for any length of time. Now you can maintain up to 150 medium crickets for a week or longer with the Large keeper, or up to 30 with the Small. Technologically advanced lid features a viewing/feeding window, convenient carrying handle, and "trap door" openings for the dispensing tubes. Since crickets love hiding in dark, confined places, the textured, black cylinders perform as combination refuge/feeder tubes. Cylinders also may be used as a shaker to apply nutritional dusting powders to crickets before feeding. Simply slide the cylinder out of the keeper and drop the flapper down to prevent escapees. Remove your hand and lightly tap on the cylinder to release the appropriate number of crickets for feeding! 1. Remove cylinders.
2. Put the hook end of a trap door on the upper-most bar above a cylinder opening.
3. Snap it into place.
4. Repeat the process for the other trap door.
5. To restore cylinders, push back on the pivot point to lift the trap door, then slide cylinder into position.

Feeding: Simply slide a cylinder out of the Kricket Keeper (a trap door will drop down to cover the opening). Cover the open end of the feeder tube with your hand as you move to the location of your animal. Remove your hand and lightly tap the cylinder to release the appropriate number of crickets. Cover the open end again and return it to the Kricket Keeper. To avoid escapees, remove only one cylinder at a time.

Cricket Care: Crickets should be kept in a well-ventilated area at a temperature range between 70-75 degrees with low humidity. Keep out of direct sunlight and cold drafts. Keeper should be kept clean and dry. Premium cricket food and water gel should be provided at all times. Both of which should be provided in the shallow food and water dishes provided. If water gel is not available, a sponge may be used. Do not fill bowl with water since the crickets may drown.

Cleaning Instructions: Crickets produce quite a bit of waste and so it is necessary to clean the unit after each use. Remove any deceased crickets, shed skin or waste and clean the entire unit with hot tap water. Never use soap or detergents since it may leave a residue that can be harmful or even deadly to the crickets.
