i purchase two of them. One large and one medium. Very pleased with the size and quality. I went to a few local stores and couldn't find same size and quality at the price I got them. My daughters guppy tank looks awesome.

I wanted a big piece of wood for my discus tank and decided to go with Mopani wood. I ordered the largest piece knowing that I might not like it since every piece is unique. It arrived at my door fairly quickly and I just fell in love with the piece I got. I love mopani wood as it is a two toned piece and this heavy large stump fits nicely in my 75 gallon tank. I did let it soak in a bucket for a month or so with constant hot or boiling water changes and when the water went from a coffee color to a very, very light tea color I placed it in my tank. I also placed a carbon in my filter so my water remained crystal clear.

I bought two of these to increase the chance that one would fit in my epiphyte terrarium. I was sent two very different shapes. Both had wonderful wavy deep grooves and one had a spiral shape that worked perfectly in my container. The picture of the product gives a reasonable idea of this wood. It is remarkably dense, strong, and water-resistant (it's used for pole bridges and the walls of houses in Botswana). I took the precaution of scrubbing it well and boiling it to leach out some of the tannin that can discolor water and ensure the absence of any insect pests. It now has three mini-bromeliads mounted on it and looks terrific resting on a bed of agate pebbles that I keep partly immersed in water. I think what pleased me most about this product was its exotic aesthetically appealing shapes and textures. It also was reasonably priced, shipping cost was minimal, and it arrived promptly.
