Its another option to keep my tortoise interest in his health.
Like my turtles, my tortoise is a picky eater. He may like one thing one week but not the next. Calcium in different forms keeps my tortoise healthy.

the price is a steel compared to the nearly $2 a bone at the petshope if you can even find non flavored ones and my snapper can't get enough of these. they last in the tank for a couple weeks before they start to discolor and have to be removed but my turtle usualy doesn't let them last that long, she eats about 1 a week. i don't take the backing off becouse she is big and strong enough and the bones are thin enough she can bite right through it and it keeps her beak clean and even, it's a great source of calcium as much as the animal wants when they want it and it is essential for shell growth. my turtle has had them availible to her all the time her whole life and even with putting on almost 9inches of shell length in less then 2 yrs she is a perfect specemin of a Snapping Turtle with a smoth, uniform shell and a perfectly alligned, even bite.
