Exo Terra Sun Glo Basking Spot Lamp 50W (mfg# PT2131)
Last year my daughter excitedly came home saying her science teacher was getting rid of class pets, first come first serve :O) So we now have Mr. Kipling.... an anole. It's nice that he isn't on my animal allergy list ;O) As relatively simple as it is to care for him, we still need supplies and I was having trouble paying nearly ten dollars for light bulbs that didn't seem to last what I thought was a fair amount of time. I looked online, found both day and night basking lights a considerably better price, bought in bulk to allow for free shipping and BAM!!! Perfect solution. This is only my second order for the year (the first was smaller as I was testing out the products reliability.) I appreciate the ease of order and the quality and even the variety of other items we occasionally need. Short of fresh crickets, it's our go-to place for Mr. Kipling ;O)

Long lasting basking bulbs
I was a little hesitant to try out the Exo-Terra brand after being so accustomed to Zoo-Med. But after Zoo-Med's basking bulb began to burn out prematurely (3-4 week average life span), I need to find an alternative. First, I am reviewing the 75w bulb. The Exo-Terra bulb has been running 8+ hours a day, nonstop for the past month and a half. No flicker, no problems and my red eared sliders love it. I bought a package of 4 Exo-Terra basking bulbs to alleviate the need to run out and re-stock should the new bulbs experience the untimely lifespan of Zoo-Med's bulbs and got a quantity discount out of it. Good product, highly recommended.
