Sun Spot Mercury Vapor Flood Lamps

1. Make sure to install the fixture so that the animals are a minimum of 12" away from the lamp. It is important to provide areas of shade and hiding so that the animals can move from warm to cooler areas as their body temperature dictates. A secondary heat source is recommended for occasions (such as nighttime) when the Sun Spot lamp is turned off.
2. The Sun Spot bulb must be mounted in vertical fixtures and should point straight down, not at an angle. Mounting this bulb at an angle will reduce its life and void any warranties.
3. Fluker's Sun Spot bulb must be housed in a reptile dome lamp fixture with a ceramic or porcelain socket. Position lamp in either end of the terrarium to allow for a warm and cool area in the habitat.
4. Securely attach fixture vertically above screen cover. Do not allow animals to come in contact with hot lamp.
5. Plug fixture into electrical outlet. The Sun Spot bulb will take approximately five minutes to "warm up" and reach it's full intensity.
6. Due to a reset feature intended to prevent damage to the Sun Spot bulb caused by overheating, the Sun Spot will take 15 minutes to cool down before it can be restarted.
